Hey Y'all!
I couldn't help but start my first post on my first blog with a little something from my new home: Atlanta. Well, first off, I'd like to welcome you to my first blog! After convincing myself that this was something I needed to do, here we go.
I am a college sorority girl, who has been blessed with many opportunities thus far. This blog was sparked by my most recent blessing: my ADPi internship at headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia for the summer. I am accompanied by seven (slightly sassy, but oh so classy) sisters from around the country.
Mi Casa- Dios mio!
After arriving to "the mansion" (as pictured above) yesterday afternoon, I am amazed at how instant our connection was. Our personalities, jokes, and lives in general all mesh together perfectly. Although the nose ring, Chico State shirt, and obnoxiously bright luggage I have may have briefly confused some of my sisters, I instantly showed them how silly and goofy I really am. 24 hours into the internship, I am completely comfortable and am beyond excited to continue this ADPi journey throughout the summer.
We have already explored downtown and midtown Atlanta, and I've definitely learned many new things in a very short time. Although I am one of two "California Girls" here, I am the only one to attend college in California- basically I'm out of the loop on many Southern customs and sayings.
Sweet Tea might be my new found love. Replying "Yes, Ma'am" to any question or request might be my new favorite response. Trying to perfect saying "Alpha Delta Pi" in my best Southern accent might be my new goal in life.
I can't wait to have all of my lovely sisters here, and look forward to continuing this blogging journey throughout the summer- all the while, adding "Sparkle, Sass, and a Dash of Class" to all of my life's adventures.
